Hans Mouthaan specializes in advising major companies and boards of directors on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities law matters and matters affecting corporate policy and strategy.
He has advised a range of public and private entities in a variety of industries in connection with mergers, acquisitions, private equity transactions, divestitures, buy outs, restructurings, negotiated and hostile takeover bids and defenses, proxy contests, joint ventures, financing transactions and corporate governance matters.
Hans has written extensively on these subjects. He also frequently advises, speaks and writes on the new corporate governance requirements adopted in recent years and their implications for public companies and merger and acquisition transactions.
Hans serves on a number of Boards, including non-profit Boards. He has a law degree from the University of Utrecht and subsequently studied law at the University of Tilburg.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Hans worked for a Dutch based industrial investment company.
Hans is recognised as an experienced leading lawyer in the Netherlands, including in recent Legal 500 publications.
