Neill specializes in advising small to large companies, private equity firms, as well as high net worth individuals on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, business expansions, financings, and general corporate and contractual matters.
Given his background, he has in particular focused on American outbound investments and assisting U.S. enterprises and businesses with overseas investments into Europe and beyond. He has advised a range of mainly private entities in a variety of industries including medical devices, automotive and automotive appliances, fashion consumer electronics retailing, energy, including carbon related products and mercury handling, satellite procurement, and oil terminaling business.
Neill had served as opinion committee chairman and regularly renders legal opinions to financial institutions for borrowing to Dutch based enterprises.
Neill has served on a number of Boards, including the Netherlands-America Foundation and Julia's Kids Foundation, a foundation supporting foster children in Vietnam, and several other not for profit committees.
Neill has a law degree from Leiden University (meester in de rechten), 1987, studied notarial law at Leiden University, and holds a LL.M degree from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Tx. Neill practised law in New York from 1990 through 2000 and returned to the Netherlands in 2001.
Neill is recognized as an experienced and leading lawyer in the Netherlands, including in recent Legal 500 publications.
