Richard has significant experience in the field of both Dutch and international taxation. Richard focuses his practice on the various tax aspects of (international) businesses. Throughout his career, he has been involved in both national and international tax planning structures, mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, EU tax law, real-estate and tax litigation.
Richard has spent almost 10 years at one of the Big Four accounting firms, including two years in London where he headed up the Dutch desk. After returning to the Netherlands, Richard joined a global law firm in its Amsterdam offices serving as an international tax partner and subsequently he co-founded WLP-Law.
Richard has a law degree (both tax and notarial) from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (1994) and completed European Fiscal Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam (1996). During his career, Richard has published numerous articles during on Dutch corporate tax, EU tax developments, tax treaties and transfer pricing.
